Everybody’s favorite spot in the house, the Jack TeePee creates the perfect retreat for your kiddo.  My son struggled with sensory overwhelm, and this teepee was absolutely his go-to place to retreat.  Because he was verbally limited, he didn’t have to use any words to tell me or his therapist he needed a break.  He could simply crawl into his teepee and pull the flaps closed to have a minute (or many minutes) to retreat from verbal demands or too much light and sound stimulation.  

This also allows your kiddo some control of his or her own environment in a way that is safe and easy. My son also thrived using the teepee as a signal to me and his therapy team. It was a way of staying in our proximity, but letting us know that he was “beyond capacity” at the moment.
